Hey, when Scott sees this post he is going to freak, needless to say I have been meaning to do this for a long time, I even made a whole new blog!
Here goes nothing, there have been a huge amount of progress since my last blog post, many many people have helped me inch closer to that fundraising mark. The Rea, Zlotoff, Reider, Horwitz, Epstien, Steinway, Kaplan, Roberts, Rosenblum and Uncle Tom and family have all helped make that happen thank you all for helping me get ever closer to my goal! As for the next step in reaching that North Carolina Shore I will be having a bottle Drive this weekend as well and along with continuing contributions as well as food and pop sales (Soda for the basically everyone else besides us Mi’ers) I will reach and exceed the fundraising goal.
Training… Not happening, 5 weeks ago I broke my foot and have been unable to train, I will start training in a few days when the boot comes off however after running a marathon in October with no training to speak of I am not all that concerned. Along with the foot however recently I have somehow managed to break the left Zygomatic bone in my face (cheek bone) and the method in which that was accomplished is a good story however if you want to know your just going to have to ask me! So in short training starts in a couple days…
Thanks for reading this sorry its so infodence the next one will be much shorter sweeter and well sooner… Scott shut up ha.
Later, Happy Riding

Welcome
Hey everyone welcome to my blog I am gonna do my best to update this as much as I can to begin I am really excited about this trip not only would biking across the North American continent be amazing by it self but this is an opportunity to do that and so much more. As a group/soon to be pseudo extended family we have the opportunity here to do something really incredible aside from the having an amazing time ourselves we are going to have a chance to help a lot of people and do a lot of good on the way helping a lot of people in need. This ride is to raise awareness for affordable housing. The goal for the ride is for every rider to raise $4,000 for the cause and as I was just accepted 2 days ago I am at 100 bucks in and every dollar counts so please donate! As far as the training goes I don't have a bike yet and it was 20deg today so riding a bike outside is a tad on the cold side still but I have been running when I have time. I will be sending out flyer's over winter break to everyone and if you didn't get one and you are reading this its probably because I know you so well you really don't need one and I have already talked your ear off about this trip! So this number will hopefully be going up soon thanks to everyones generosity! Anyways for everyones information my email address is grantdj@umich.edu if you want/need anything from me I hope this blog can be a way to keep everyone updated and involved in this amazing adventure!
